F1 Drivers Snub Tennis Icon Serena Williams as Golf Legend Tiger Woods Sweeps the Grid

The F1 drivers are in the boating capital of the world for the inaugural Miami GP. But before they could take out their 2022 challenges to the new track outside Hard Rock Stadium, they had to face some fiery questions ahead of the thrilling race this weekend.

The F1 drivers had to choose between two options. With this one particular question, they were asked whether they would like to get a tennis lesson from American tennis superstar Serena Williams or a golf lesson from the legendary Tiger Woods.

It seems a vast majority of the F1 drivers are golf fans. Most of them, including Guanyu Zhou, Kevin Magnussen, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Lando Norris, and Lance Stroll, choose to learn golf from Woods. Even Alex Albon chose Woods and took a dig at his girlfriend. He said, “My girlfriend does not teach me anything.”

However, there are also a few exceptions, as the two-time world champion Fernando Alonso wanted to learn tennis from Selena. Also, the Mercedes youngster George Russell chooses to learn tennis. Further, Russell’s teammate Lewis Hamilton can actually make it happen as he’s friends with Williams.

Serena Williams and Lewis Hamilton might lose their Chelsea bid
The seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is a great F1 driver and also a great businessman. The Billion Dollar Man has various other ventures, like his own clothing line and food chain. Most recently, the seven-time world champion dreamed of becoming a soccer club owner alongside friend Serena Williams. But that dream is now on standby.

Hamilton and the tennis star Serena Williams partnered with the English businessman Martin Broughton to buy the English club, Chelsea FC. However, the deal is out of their hands after the recent bid from the American businessman Todd Boehly.

At the moment, Boehly is the favorite to be the club’s new owner despite a £4.25 billion bid from Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, nothing is final yet, and talks are still going on between Boehly and Chelsea. Further, Hamilton-Williams’ bid is on standby. If Boehly fails to get the club, then they can try again.
